Lyme and PANS Newsletter – April 2020

We Are Here

Dear Clients,

We are thinking about all of you during this challenging stretch. Please know you can reach out to us at any time. We are one phone call away at 781-923-7000. Whether you seek emotional support, guidance with health and immune system care, anti-inflammatory meal planning advice, or stress-management tools, Practitioners at the center have created telehealth options for you. We are also able to ship supplement refills to your home.

Until further notice, in order to protect everyone's health, our office doors will be open for scheduled clients only. Please call us instead of dropping in.

We trust by now you are well-aware of the advice to ward off COVID-19. However, now that it is springtime, we also want to remind you to be tick aware. Going outside is wonderful for your physical and emotional health; please continue your outdoor activities. But, especially if you are going to be on grass, in the woods, or near your pets who might be carrying ticks, protect yourself. For a review of tick-bite prevention tips, please see our Facebook page later this week where we will provide our updated advice.

See below for wonderful social-distancing proof "yoga snacks!"

Wishing you great health and peace,
The LPTC Team

Walking Meditation with Loving Kindness Mantra

  • Perhaps you do not have a whole hour to devote to yoga or meditation. That is OK! Simply stated, yoga means union of body, mind, and spirit. "Yoga Snacks" are short techniques designed to unite your whole self, providing nurturance to your nervous system. The following yoga snacks can be practiced anywhere.Walking Meditation: Choose a smooth, safe surface to begin this practice. Take off your shoes and socks. Once comfortable, breathe in the fresh air and tune inward. Now, purposely connect your heels, ball of foot, and toes with the ground surface with each mindful step that you take. Repeat for 5 minutes. Walking barefoot on grass, earth, or sand is very grounding.
  • Loving Kindness Meditation: This form of meditation with Buddhist roots is a method of developing compassion. It can be practiced by anyone and is essentially about cultivating unconditional love. Once we have cultivated self-love, we may wish to direct it outward. Find a comfortable spot to sit, stand, or lay down. Simply repeat, either aloud or silently for 2 more minutes:

“May I be Safe, May I be Happy, May I be Healthy, May I live my Life with Ease”

“May all beings be Safe. May all beings be Happy. May all beings be Healthy. May all beings live life with ease”
