Sylvia Valeri Sichol, Ph.D.
Dr. Sichol earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, which included clinical rotations in the assessment and treatment of pediatric pain management, adult PTSD, community mental health, and outpatient child psychology. She went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior of Brown Medical School, where she worked in an affiliated pediatric hospital treating children and adolescents presenting with co-occurring medical and psychological conditions. Following her fellowship, Dr. Sichol was appointed to the research faculty of Brown Medical School and was a co-investigator of NIMH-funded studies focused on the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent mood disorders. Dr. Sichol held her Psychology license in Rhode Island, is currently licensed in Massachusetts (Lic. # 10901) and specializes in empirically-supported interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based treatments. She is passionate about integrative approaches to treatment and supporting youth, parents, and adults as they navigate psychological, health, and relational concerns.
